TestHub Laboratories gets your toys cleared for the UAE and GCC market. We’re an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited toy testing laboratory in Dubai, UAE, and we run the mechanical, flammability, and chemical element migration checks that buyers and regulators want to see. Every report ties back to the exact GSO EN 71 clauses, so your compliance file is ready when customs or a client asks.
Our Testing Services
Toy Testing: Most products need all three GSO EN 71 parts, so we run them as one panel and save you the back-and-forth. The report names every clause checked and gives a clear pass or fail on each. That’s the documentation your procurement and quality officers can hand straight to a buyer or a customs officer. One accredited lab, full toy safety testing GCC.
GSO EN 71-1: Mechanical and Physical Properties: This part covers the physical hazards a child meets during play and the rough handling you can expect from real kids. Small parts that could choke an infant. Sharp edges and points. Cords, elastics, and how well a toy holds together after drop and torque cycles. For anything aimed at the under-three group, GSO EN 71-1 Dubai testing is the first check most buyers ask us to confirm, and we turn it around quickly.
GSO EN 71-2: Flammability: We measure how quickly a toy ignites and how flame spreads across it. Soft toys, costumes, hair accessories, and anything with pile fabric or loose flowing material get the closest look. Each sample is tested against the burn-rate limits in the standard.
GSO EN 71-3: Migration of Certain Elements: The chemical safety check. We measure how much lead, cadmium, chromium, arsenic, barium, and other elements can migrate out of the materials a child might mouth. Paints, coatings, plastics, and modelling compounds are taken through simulated saliva and gastric conditions, then analyzed to confirm the released amounts stay safely under the limits.
Why TestHub Is Your Trusted Toy Testing Laboratory
- ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation: Our methods and our people have been independently assessed, so regulators and trading partners accept the data without re-testing.
- GSO EN 71 Compliance: We test the standard versions actually enforced across the GCC, not a near-equivalent.
- G-Mark Support: We produce the test evidence the G-Mark toy testing UAE process needs and tell you upfront which results ESMA will want for the G-Mark file.
- Fast Turnaround: A standard toy panel is back in 7 to 15 working days. If a sample needs a second run, you hear about it early, not at the end.

FAQs
Toys sold in the UAE have to meet GSO EN 71, the Gulf Standards Organization’s version of the EN 71 safety series. Three parts cover most products: GSO EN 71-1 for mechanical and physical properties, GSO EN 71-2 for flammability, and GSO EN 71-3 for the migration of certain elements. Regulated toys also need G-Mark conformity before they can be sold.
Yes. TestHub Laboratories holds ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. That means an external body has checked our test methods and technical competence, so our reports are accepted by UAE and GCC authorities.
We do. We carry out the GSO EN 71 testing that feeds the G-Mark conformity file, and we walk your team through which results the certification body will ask for, so nothing stalls at the last step.
Soft and plush toys, plastic and molded toys, ride-ons, activity centres, costumes and dress-up sets, art and craft kits, and battery-operated toys.
A standard GSO EN 71 toy panel takes 7 to 15 working days from the day we receive your sample. GSO EN 71-3 migration work can take a little longer when a product has several different materials or colours, since each one is tested separately.
Check with us first so we can tell you how many units and which colour or material variants we need. After that you can courier the samples or drop them at our Jebel Ali facility in Dubai with the request form filled in. We confirm receipt and begin testing.
